Elnur Ismayil is a scholar of international relations at Istanbul Medeniyet University (Istanbul, Türkiye), specialising in the foreign policy, security, and geopolitics of the Eurasian region, including the Wider Black Sea region. His research focuses on regional security, post-conflict transformations, and the role of external powers in Eurasia. He is the editor of the books “Russia’s Military Interventions in Georgia and Ukraine”, “Global Geopolitical Dynamics in Eurasia” and “Energy and Power Rivalries Across Eurasia” (published by IGI Global). Dr. Ismayil actively contributes to international conferences and policy debates, offering insights into shifting power dynamics and their implications for regional and global order.
