Dr. Mariya Heletiy is a Deputy Project Director, Ukrainian Center for Independent Political Research, and an expert on the post-Yugoslavia conflicts. Before joining the centre, she worked as an Elections and Political Processes Adviser at the USAID Ukraine, where she managed election and political parties’ programmes, was a co-founder and manager of the newly established European Information Support Centre of the Ukrainian Parliament and International Dialogue Programme Manager for Open Ukraine Foundation. In addition, she was also engaged in various research assignments at the internationally recognized Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University and at the University of California, Berkeley, in the United States.
