He is a scientist and researcher of regional security issues, the development of the socio-political situation in Central Asia, China's influence in the post-Soviet space, Ukrainian-Chinese relations, and hybrid methods of influence. He is currently a PhD candidate at Kazakh National University al-Farabi, and a Futures Fellow at Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS).
