Karen van Loon is a Researcher in the European Affairs Programme of the Egmont Institute and an Educational Assistant in the Political Science department at KU Leuven Kulak. Her research interests include the Arctic, Eastern Europe, and arms control. She is an experienced educator and capacity-building specialist, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Young Women in Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Mentorship Programme.
