Dr. Dimitrios Triantaphyllou is Associate Professor and the Director of the Center for International and European Studies (CIES) at Kadir Has University in Istanbul and the Chair of the Department of International Relations. He holds a BA in Political Science and History from the University of California, Berkeley and an MA and Ph.D. in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. He has previously served in a various capacities in a number of research institutions in Greece, France and in policy advisory positions. He is Associate Editor of the Southeast European and Black Sea Studies (SSCI indexed); a member of the Greek-Turkish Forum; a member of the Governing Board of the European Studies Institute (ESI) at MGIMO University, Moscow; co-convener of the Commission on the Black Sea; a member of the Advisory Boards of the Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation; the International Institute for Peace, Vienna; and the Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey. He recently was voted in as a member of the International Fund for Cooperation and Partnership of the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea (BSCSIF).
